Olivera Reuther holds the German degree Dipl.-Ing. Fachbereich Architektur — an engineering degree in architecture — and plans in Berlin. Her path to Vastu architecture began with a simple observation: some spaces carry the people who live in them — others work against them. The Vastu teaching gave this observation a language and gave designing an order.
Today she combines both: the precise craft of the planner — floor plan, light, proportion, buildability — with the Vastu view of orientation, elements and the open centre. Her conviction: a Vastu house does not look “Indian”. It looks like good architecture — and feels different.
