Hosting. This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH
(Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) in Germany/Finland. When you
visit the site, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address,
time, requested page) in log files; the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR
(legitimate interest in secure operation). Log data is not merged with other
data sources.
Web analytics with Matomo. We use the open-source analytics software Matomo on our own server (stats.reuther-media.de, Hetzner, Helsinki). No data is passed on to third parties. Your IP address is shortened by two bytes before it is stored; we record the pages visited, time spent, approximate location, browser and device type.
Without your consent Matomo measures without cookies (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Only if you click Accept in the notice “May we set a statistics cookie?” does Matomo set a cookie (_pk_id, 13 months) so that returning visits can be recognised (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). Your choice is remembered locally by your browser (localStorage entry rmMatomoConsent). You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the site data in your browser – the notice will then appear again.
No further cookies, no third-party tracking. Beyond that, this website sets no analytics or marketing cookies and embeds no external tracking services. Fonts are served locally from this server; no connections to Google Fonts or other CDNs are made.
Contact. If you write to us — by e-mail or via the enquiry
form — we process your details to handle the enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and
delete them as soon as they are no longer required. The form’s spam protection
works without external services, on this server.
Your rights. You have the right to access, rectification,
erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection
(Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory
authority, e.g. the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection.
